An important part of my life is making sure my family can still have their favorites and they love Alfredo Pasta!

Ketogenic Alfredo Sauce

When I first attempted to make Ketogenic Alfredo sauce I wasn’t sure how I was going to make it thick enough.  I did not want a runny sauce.  I usually used sour cream with cream of chicken and cornstarch to thicken.  Those two things are out of the question so I came up with the idea of cream cheese instead because it is thicker and using a very aged white cheddar to add the tangy taste because of the lack of sour cream.  So here goes!

 

INGREDIENTS:

 

2 cups heavy cream

1-1/2 cups aged sharp white cheddar

1/2 cup fresh parmesan

garlic salt to taste

1 T minced garlic

1/8 tsp nutmeg

1/2 tsp onion powder

2 T dry white wine or vodka (zero Carbs)

4 oz cream cheese

4 T butter

 

Directions:

 

Heat heavy cream, butter, cheese, cream cheese, seasonings and garlic over medium heat until smooth and creamy.  NO lumps!  Remove from heat and stir in wine or vodka.  Put in blender and blend.  Ready to serve or put in Jar and refrigerate.
